Ingiat are stone spirit figures created by a sorcerer with supernatural powers. The ingiat are kept away from non-members of the society, i.e. uninitiated men, women and children. Songs are chanted to the ingiat as they are created or to perform sorcery. (To’Liman-Turalir 2001: 43)
